Once children can hear the first sound in a word, the next step is the last sound, then the middle vowel. These ending sounds worksheets use pictures so children can say each word and listen: write the last letter, circle the ending sound, and circle the middle vowel.
The look-alike word pages show three words that differ by one letter (cat, cap, can) so children practice reading every letter, not just the first one. Change the last sound shows how one new sound makes a new word.
