Word searches build spelling and vocabulary while children scan carefully for letter patterns. These word search puzzles for 3rd graders use words that third graders read and study: seasons, weather and climate, forces and magnets, life cycles, the solar system, community and government, math, and grammar.
Each puzzle has 14 or 15 words in a 12 by 12 or 13 by 13 grid. Words go across, down, and on a slant, with a check box for each word in the word bank. Every puzzle has an answer key.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.3.6Acquire and use accurately grade-appropriate conversational, general academic, and domain-specific words and phrases, including those that signal spatial and temporal relationships (e.g., After dinner that night we went looking for them). They are sized for third grade: 14 or 15 words in a 12 by 12 or 13 by 13 grid, with words across, down, and diagonally.
